inventor-clients software package provides Open Inventor client programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install inventor-clients
inventor-clients is installed in your system.
Make ensure the inventor-clients package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep inventor-clients *
You will get with inventor-clients package name, version, architecture and description in a table
